Introducing Marxism (ebook)

For many modern readers, the communist manifesto can be difficult to grapple with as a first text. Enter Tom Bramble, who wrote this book to introduce the basic concepts of Marxism in an accessible and clear manner.

It draws on contemporary Australian examples of political and economic life, to construct a savage critique of capitalism, while also dealing with controversial issues on the far left such as reform and revolution, the roots of women’s oppression, and the Russian Revolution.

Though it can be read on its own, the text is designed as an accompaniment to the introduction to Marxism discussion groups run by branches of Socialist Alternative across the country.
